‘Mountain Hare’ was HIGHLY COMMENDED in the 2024 Northern Counties Photographic Federation Annual Awards in the category ‘Colour Print.’

Mountain Hare

During my first foray into the Scottish Cairngorms. The ground was already well covered in snow when I encountered this and several other mountain hares enjoying what turned out to be the lull before the storm. Within a couple of hours I was in white-out conditions but I had my shot.
