Nature Photographer of the Year 2019

The following image appeared as a finalist in the Nature Photographer of the Year 2019.

Morning Greetings

Rumours that this pride of eighteen lions were in the area had been circulating for days. We caught up with them early one morning, a group of mixed ages, looking fatigued and in need of a meal. They suddenly sparked into life, however as an adult female returned, gathering in a close-knit huddle to greet her. Sabi Sands, South Africa.
